Gronell, Technical Mountain Boots from Verona

"Sono nato qui, nel cuore della Lessinia (Verona, ndr) e fin da piccolo ho imparato ad amare albe e tramonti, segreti e bellezze delle vicine montagne. Guarda, io sono quello a sinistra nella vecchia fotografia. Io che già cosi piccolo mi misuravo nell'arte che era stata di mio padre, imparandone le difficili regole artigiane ed i segreti dei materiali, per dare forma con paziente lavoro manuale, alle mie prime scarpe da montagna che io stesso avrei provato attraverso boschi e sentieri". Così, Nello Grossule ricorda quando nel 1937 aiutando suo padre a riparare le scarpe apprendeva le tecniche di calzolaio ed iniziava a dilettarsi nella costruzione dei suoi primi scarponi da montagna. Attualmente Gronell è portata avanti da Fabio e Mario Grossule che, con la stessa passione del padre, hanno saputo coniugare l'esperienza pratica con la ricerca mantenendo saldo il nome del marchio.
Di particolare pregio la linea 'Alpine': scarpe sviluppate per l'alpinismo professionale che si adattano all'uso sulle alte vie in montagna, in ghiacciaio e per arrampicata su cascata. Modelli studiati per fornire una calzata precisa, grande sensibilità ed elevata performance, utilizzati anche nelle spedizioni himalayane. "I was born here in the heart of Lessinia (Verona, North Italy) and since I was a small child, I have loved the dawns and sunsets; the beauty and the secrets of the neighbouring mountains. Look, I am the one on the left in the old picture. Even as a young boy I began the craft that had been my father's, learning the artisan rules and the secrets of the materials. It was my passion to create and the first mountain shoes I crafted, I tested myself, throughout the woods and paths of my beloved mountains". Nello Grossule remembers with these words. In 1937, he began learning the age-old trade of the shoemaker and by crafting his first pair of mountaineering boots. At the present time Gronell is carried out by Nello's sons Fabio and Mario Grossule, in these years they have been able to match practice experience with scientific research as their father did.
